new kind of vespa scooter

There are fewer carbon emissions polluting the open road due to one grandfather’s ingenuity in transforming a Vespa scooter into a rocking horse for his grandson.
If given the chance, we bet plenty of adults would love to put some mileage on the Vespa rocking horse too!

done manifesto

The Cult of Done Manifesto
  • There are three states of being. Not knowing, action and completion.
  • Accept that everything is a draft. It helps to get it done.
  • There is no editing stage.
  • Pretending you know what you're doing is almost the same as knowing what you are doing, so just accept that you know what you're doing even if you don't and do it.
  • Banish procrastination. If you wait more than a week to get an idea done, abandon it.
  • The point of being done is not to finish but to get other things done.
  • Once you're done you can throw it away.
  • Laugh at perfection. It's boring and keeps you from being done.
  • People without dirty hands are wrong. Doing something makes you right.
  • Failure counts as done. So do mistakes.
  • Destruction is a variant of done.
  • If you have an idea and publish it on the internet, that counts as a ghost of done.
  • Done is the engine of more.
  • There is also now a facebook group for the Cult of Done

    rhizome task lamp

Exploring mechanical movement, elastic tension and CNC/Laser cutting technology.
Currently part of the One Off undergraduate show at Kingston University in London is Pedro Mealha’s Rhizome Task Lamp.
The project emerged from his interest in wooden dinosaur kits and the way in which the various components are pieced together to gain a three-dimensional shape from a flat wooden panel.

    sewing sleeve

When I saw that tatto I was agape: the lady tightening up her corset, the old dress form, the drool inducing sewing machine, and that perfect length of fabric flowing through it all.

    present and correct

The folks at Present and Correct have some new cards based on their colour wheel print they made a while back. They have taken the colours of the prism and arranged matching coloured objects into geometric shapes. There are 6 notecards in a pack, handprinted by them.

    lucifer candle holder

Maybe it's because Lucifer's hands are so smooth and Lucifer's fingers are so little, but I am having a hard time finding him very sinister. Watch as it catches the candle's drips and prevents overflow.

    equation bookshelf

I like that Equation Bookshelf by Estudio Brede. It is elegant, simple but in the same time appealing, it is a simple idea of to divide things in priority order, put together the books that you need immediately or more important between (parentheses)! Set others between [square brackets] and {braces}.
