Australian designer John Quan has made a Slinky-inspired magazine rack, about the project he says: "I enjoy experimenting with materials and processes, as well as extending people’s notions of what a material is capable of. With this piece, I have utilised the flexibility of plywood to create a Slinky spring.What is it used for? The first thing that comes to mind is an extendable magazine rack. But in truth, I just wanted to pay homage to a favourite childhood toy."
