my new discovery

Today I want to dedicate myself to the craft projects i have in mind and to clean up home, unless I find something I can't really wait to post.
I'd like to share with you a few discovery I made in the last weeks:

Retro to go - as they say in the header "a guide to all things hip and retro".
Erica knits - pictures, cooking, walking and of course...knitting.
City cradle design - super lovely ideas for craft and cook, I think I can say: inspirational.
Greenlaundry - the blog is mostly a lifestyle blog through pictures, the website is like a window on what Melly create and produce.
Très plus cool - a blog by Alex and Fenke about fashion.

tea towels

I love Ingela P Arrhenius's artworks! She is making some testprints of tea towels. I think that the result is great, but I don't know if she is going to sell them or not (she doesn't say anything on her blog).

Last week I placed an order for 2.500 stickers to do some promotion and for the packaging of the shop. When I was at work the courier arrived and gave the package to Andrea, yuhu!

foot picture/22

Last Summer Jacinta just went to Cinque Terre, Italy ... enjoy the pictures.

I really live this project made by Anthony Burrill for Happiness Brussels:
it is a limited edition of 200 posters, screen printed with oil from the Gulf of Mexico disaster (the oil was picked up on the beaches of Grand Isle, Louisiana).
The posters were printed at Purple Monkey Design in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Please note that all benefits go to the non-profit organisation "Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana" (CRCL), the prioce of each poster is 150 €.

Halloween is getting closer: 2 days left. I have seen a lot of ideas and inspirations, even if I still don't know what I am going to do, I will give you an overview of what I found the scariest weekend of the year.
It is not everything because the blogsphere and the internetsphere in general are really productive about celebrations, in particular about Halloween...I try to do my best!

Forest scene pumkin - Sweet Paul (I love deer and I love the combo pumpking-deer).
The Wassaic Project - The Art of Ben Cuevas (amazing knitted project).
Ever lasting love - Agardentotreasure (cute idea to represent a graveyard in a small size).

ps: I selected only three DIY projects that striked me at the first sight.

magnets on the fridge

I like to decorate the fridge with magnets pictures and every nice flyer I can find all around the city. But I feel like something is still missing on my fridge so I am thinking to buy these super nice magnets designed by Lily Lux. The cost for a German buyer is only about 9.99 €...they are mine!

ps: the second picture was taken by Nik from Life is bunt (for their blog entry on Lily Lux)

I am looking for a lamp for the entrance in my apartment, I was thinking to do something like the one showed in the picture but with crochet. Do you have any tip or pattern to suggest? I want to do something with a warm colour like red because there is a Vertigo poster close to the door.

ps: the lamps in the pictures are made by the US company Artecnicainc, and are called Grand Trianon (large lightweight chandelier made of post-consumer coated Tyvek).

happy red fish

Happy red fish is a creative studio that combines creativity, innovation and a sense of humor. They useneedle, thread, ink and experiment with many different types of materials, I love the needle & thread project called Circle, where they made a series of embroideries with a special edge: replace ink using needle & thread.
Great sense of humor!

lomo of the day /106

Strange lomo post today, but yes I am inspired: I am on vacation, the sun is shining outside and I had a relaxing morning at home improving my CV and sending it out.
I was looking for a nice lomo photography for the post of today with the subject of cakes and cupcakes, because later I am going to have a tea with Tania, as known as Superninon. Well surfing on pages and pages I discover the Wondermilk Cafe, unfortunately for me it is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
They have done beautiful picture to show how the location is, and apparently they love Lomo as we do (that's why I am not changing the name of the post).

el día de los muertos

Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de los Muertos) is a holiday celebrated in Mexico and by Mexican Americans living in the United States and Canada. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died.
This is the definition by Wikipedia.
The celebration occurs on on November 2, the tradition include building private altars honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts.

ps: the pictures have been taken by MisNopalesArt's shop.

monkey socks

There are DIY projects that I really love and the Monkey socks are part of the group (as you might have read on Saturday on the last interesting display post).
Here I give you a link on the instructions for making the red-heel Sock Monkey toy, you'll love it!
In the pics some examples of what I found.

I love when I place an order and after few days...what I bought arrives: it is like Christmas or a Birthday. I love the postman that brought Gemma's bag this morning. Ups and thank you Gemma, I love my new tote bag!

I have to go to do some shopping at the supermarke now, but I can't resist to post the interesting display of today! I love the sock monkey on that bed and all the cushion too.
